  • Glad to hear you got it sorted. If be interested in checking out that mag when it's released.

  • Yeah, I just grabbed my thinned mag and it definitely won't fit in the Glock slide enough, by quite a bit. Factory Sten mags must be quite a bit thinner than the printed version

  • On hold. Printed trip bar version works but I had issues with the first metal bars, so that needs to be revisited. The metal is thinner than the plastic which affected release a bit.

It's a fairly involved project and testing/development is slow going on my own, plus mag dump testing 308 gets expensive fast.

  • I know another ' almost sten mag mag' option sucks but the UK sten mags have excess material on top. I was able to mod them to fit a Ruger slide which is narrower than a Glock and the round has to be presented higher in the Ruger than a Glock.

Terrible pic to show what I'm saying but you can see where the top is notched so the feed tower will fit in the slide and present the round at the right height

Of course I may be wrong on what the issue is

  • You might want to try the franken without the ejector, someone else was having issues with that. The other internals are basically the same as a fmda dd19.2 which is pretty well established.

  • The above method works. You can also create the straight sections, then loft between them. This will allow tangency.

  • I used stainless spring wire from Amazon, I'm pretty sure mine was .8 or 1.0 for .22 mag springs

  • Oh SCS uploader caught it. Next place I looked at wanted me to contact for a quote. I was hoping another place may be to make it, otherwise I'll add the minimum amount of flange and finish the cut myself. Not sure how the factory does it, maybe its cut after being bent?

  • Help & Support @forum.guncadindex.com

Who can laser cut and bend 4130/4140 chromo besides SCS?

Charging handle cut is just inside of SCS flange length minimum for bending and I'd rather not cut by hand. Do we have other options for cutting and bending?

  • What gun parts does this need?

  • Twas a last minute thought as I had to leave for work... We can't all hang out in Mom's basement all day with an orange dick and an empty bag of Cheetos.

    2077 questions

I haven't seen a lot of these completed. Trying to see what it takes to get this grip frame to work with the 2077. The shelf on the 2077 isn't in the 'standard' location so AR hammer clearance will be close.

Wondering if anyone sees or knows of a reason this wouldn't work or if there something I'm missing before I spend more time on it.

Grip frame shelf location adjusted, and back extended to use the front end cap bolt.

I'm not gonna print the whole thing to test fit...

  • I never did an R2. Was looking at it when I heard about the R3 beta and went that route. Most entry build I've heard of was trouble free and very reliable. They are fun little progress for sure.

  • The disconnector is crunchy when pushing down on the tail. It works, but it isn't right the spring doesn't want to stay flat. It's also a tight fit and some time cleaning the edges would be prudent for sure.

I couldn't figure out how to load the video.

  • Thanks!

  • This is a SCS cut binary disconnector and a M16 disconnector in a 3 round burst trigger. The AR disconnector springs don't seat well.

  • Yep, didn't have the right bolt with me so I put a second locknut on to cap the exposed threads.

M16 3 round burst trigger sourcing and parts differences

I'm getting the quirks worked out on 3 position binary which uses a M16 3 round burst trigger and two disconnectors.

    1. Sarco is the only place I've found that sells the triggers individually and the sear surface on theirs looks like 💩. Any other vendors that will sell the 3 round burst parts individually?
    2. Are the 3 round disconnector springs the same as standard AR disconnector springs? I couldn't find any 3 round specific springs and used AR springs. They work but they don't seat well and I can feel the coils rubbing/ binding when manually compressing the disconnector. You can see it in the right side disconnector.
  • Ah, I didn't have much time to read and skimmed it and missed it. Doesn't sound like anything that affects the grip nut.... Thanks!

    Differences in the UBAR3s?

Was talking with a few people about the UBAR3 and using a M5 nut in a recessed pocket for the grip screw. Looking at the files there are about ten different versions of the UBAR3 but I couldn't find anything about the differences? The file names are clear as mud.

  • I used those magazines in another project, the printed ones failed before two full mags. The ones with metal feed lips lasted quite a while, even left loaded in climate controlled area. They only met their demise when I forgot they were in the hot car.

  • Yes, corrected it

    Layer/ cooling fan setting suggestions

I've had good luck using default settings until printing tall boys. I know doing two at once probably isn't the best idea but it did help to show that my issue presents itself when there is a drastic drop in layer time.

Using orca, any recommendations for setting fan speed@ height when using PLA plus?

Issue has ONLY occurred when printing tall mags, close to 250mm tall.

.45 upper options, vmac... Any others?

Are there any other .45 upper options? Anyone know if the vmac bolt has features to activate a trip bar like the 9mm does?

I've got a .45 itch to scratch. I'm Mac dumb.

ACR style stock for Cetme C G3

Remix of RG3D prints ACR style stock for direct fit on Cetme C or G3. First version came out higher than I thought it would. Basically impossible to aim with irons. Next version is 15mm lower and there is still the option to use the built in cheek riser.

    Cetme C Super Safety

I'm very happy with this trip bar geometry, most consistent results yet with repeatable release timing. It's probably a little late but working and I'd rather err on the safe side.

Need to finish the CAD for the metal trip bar now that I know the starting length and get that coming. Surprisingly the plastic held up, much better than expected.

Also need to start over with a fresh hammer and try and get a profile that works without welding. I had the hammer good with a big ass shark fin welded on but I found the limit trying to trim it down.

Guide for locating your FCG and selector holes in a bent AK blank. Also has trunnion holes which I DON'T recommend using. I have a separate fixture for those.

SOT only hole included, don't use this hole unless you are licensed to do so. Stay safe and legal.
