  • A 12 is sufficient to press the barrel, and that is only for kits that don't come with one. You still need to verify bolt gap with feeler gauges

  • One version is mine and uses bespoke mags. I believe the other version using Glock mags is about to get some more testing before being officially released.

  • I know of two Recession Ruger type frames for those and neither have been released.

It's very different from other Rugers as the cam block recoil guide is huge compared to the others. This necessitates a larger front rail. The factory mechanism is complex with the multiple safeties.

  • I like using this method with the internal grip nut. I haven't used it on Ubar but it works great on my other stuff including Cetme C 308 which is a chonky boy. Just make sure the grip bolt doesn't poke the bottom of the trigger.

  • You can do it with the correct profile barrel and a follower (or 5.56 mag) but it's not ideal due to the larger face on the 5.45 bolt. AK builder has barrels to do this for the common offerings. Ideally you'd get a 5.56 barrel, bolt, carrier and trunnion, but that's more work and you'd end up with a lot of extra parts unless you pieced the whole thing together.

The same would go for .300BO, but I'm not aware of anyone making off the shelf barrels, so you'd need to have a .300 barrel blank profiled to match your AK barrel components. There may be .300 AK barrels already, I haven't looked.

Leber V2 with AR grip for AP5P with new style denial

Leber V2 clearanced for new style denial which blocks original leber grip frame. Dimensions and modifications are from third party referenced in the read me. Currently untested other than some incomplete test fitting. My understand is this new denial is on MKE built century imported models and possibly full size starting around June 2025.

    DPX-45 beta testing?

Recent GunCad digest mentioned a .45 version of the DPX-9 in the works. Anyone know where to get info on this or how to get in the beta?

  • While the safely functions, it fires and resets, I only got one mag through it because of the weather so I'd like to get at least one more test in before releasing.

    Don't bet the milk money.

SW 9/40 trigger shoe with flippy safety. Still a shit trigger, but was less mushy than the factory swinging scrote trigger.

  • I haven't made that model but on other stocks I've used 4-5 wall and 35% with success. I've seen similar recommendations for other stocks as well.

  • I used the generic filament picture.

A few descriptions, most started that materials will be acquired and manufacturing will occur after approval of form 1

  • You'll need to specify the barrel length and overall length. Don't end up shorter that what is on the form. There is some variation on the process between building a SBR from scratch and manufacturing a SBR from an already existing serialized firearm.

    It'll ask for photos.

Any existing SN should be clear, the eform will tell you what it needs to show.

That didn't apply to me, so I used the same generic filament picture for cans on a few. Still waiting, but I was late to the party.

  • I tried this for a can, a SBR and a AOW. Now it's hurry up and wait.

  • Excellent work!

  • I agree, the metal feed lips work 👍

  • I believe the early versions of both the SD and SW frames had issues but the unseenkiller versions fixed that. I know his SWG frame works.

  • If you're wanting an optic up front of the rear sight the ultimak will probably be your best bet. Any standard railed handguard will not hold zero. AKM pattern is the most common and a lot of the handguards out there will fit it. Anything Yugo, Serbian, krink, etc won't fit.

Another red dot option is the Attero mount that replaces the rear sight leaf. I have five of these and all have held up for years.

  • Shit, sorry...I misread your post and thought you had it resolved and was just taking shit about Reddit.

A lot of folks were having issues and I know there was chatter last night.... Thought it was all fixed

  • Stay away from reddit. Probably not what you want to hear but it's a cesspool and you'll always be walking on eggshells there

I recall seeing some info on scrubbing personal data from PDF files ( and maybe STEP?) but can't seem to find it. It's it posted or linked here?

Who can laser cut and bend 4130/4140 chromo besides SCS?

Charging handle cut is just inside of SCS flange length minimum for bending and I'd rather not cut by hand. Do we have other options for cutting and bending?

    2077 questions

I haven't seen a lot of these completed. Trying to see what it takes to get this grip frame to work with the 2077. The shelf on the 2077 isn't in the 'standard' location so AR hammer clearance will be close.

Wondering if anyone sees or knows of a reason this wouldn't work or if there something I'm missing before I spend more time on it.

Grip frame shelf location adjusted, and back extended to use the front end cap bolt.

I'm not gonna print the whole thing to test fit...

M16 3 round burst trigger sourcing and parts differences

I'm getting the quirks worked out on 3 position binary which uses a M16 3 round burst trigger and two disconnectors.

    1. Sarco is the only place I've found that sells the triggers individually and the sear surface on theirs looks like 💩. Any other vendors that will sell the 3 round burst parts individually?

    2. Are the 3 round disconnector springs the same as standard AR disconnector springs? I couldn't find any 3 round specific springs and used AR springs. They work but they don't seat well and I can feel the coils rubbing/ binding when manually compressing the disconnector. You can see it in the right side disconnector.

    Differences in the UBAR3s?

Was talking with a few people about the UBAR3 and using a M5 nut in a recessed pocket for the grip screw. Looking at the files there are about ten different versions of the UBAR3 but I couldn't find anything about the differences? The file names are clear as mud.

    Layer/ cooling fan setting suggestions

I've had good luck using default settings until printing tall boys. I know doing two at once probably isn't the best idea but it did help to show that my issue presents itself when there is a drastic drop in layer time.

Using orca, any recommendations for setting fan speed@ height when using PLA plus?

Issue has ONLY occurred when printing tall mags, close to 250mm tall.

.45 upper options, vmac... Any others?

Are there any other .45 upper options? Anyone know if the vmac bolt has features to activate a trip bar like the 9mm does?

ACR style stock for Cetme C G3

Remix of RG3D prints ACR style stock for direct fit on Cetme C or G3. First version came out higher than I thought it would. Basically impossible to aim with irons. Next version is 15mm lower and there is still the option to use the built in cheek riser.

    Cetme C Super Safety

I'm very happy with this trip bar geometry, most consistent results yet with repeatable release timing. It's probably a little late but working and I'd rather err on the safe side.

Need to finish the CAD for the metal trip bar now that I know the starting length and get that coming. Surprisingly the plastic held up, much better than expected.

Also need to start over with a fresh hammer and try and get a profile that works without welding. I had the hammer good with a big ass shark fin welded on but I found the limit trying to trim it down.
