I would support having a few BST community set up, if we convinced a few of the other adjacent hobbies and groups to set up a communtiy with a bot pulling from reddit it would essentially create a back up community for everyone. Some big ones would be r/knife_swap and r/edcexchange

I hope they warm up to lemmy, I tried to explain they would beasically be running their own website just with the perk of being linked to other communities. And I hope they do change their minds because fragmenting the community isn’t really good for anyone.

How do you like the Thunder app? I’ve been on and off Lemmy for a while now and I’ve always just used the Jerboa app.

I’ve considered getting a fixed power scope before but I’m always afraid that I’ll end up hating it and wishing I had gotten something else. But on the other hand…how often do I change the magnification on a range gun anyways.

I agree with the FFP vs SFP, with the caveat that I really don’t mind SFP on some low magnifaction scopes. I’m thinking the 4-12 range is probably where I’m leaning. I’m trying to decide how crazy I’ll get with this build when it’s just a side deal to take. I’m tempted to swap out the frame, and barrel but at that point I could buy something brand new anyways.

Yeah I messaged back and forth with him a little and he really wants something unaffiliated with everything so that they don’t have any ToS to agree to or have changed on them.
