Hey guys, so far I’ve built a few Harlots, a Gambino, and a Hitchhiker. I had a blast with all of them. What should I do next? I’m wanting to stay under $200 if I can. Open to any recommendations!
Respectfully, if you’re into ARs, do a bipoly. It’s by far my favorite AR lower, cost is about $100, I’ve had mine for over a year now, has ran about 2k rounds through it, I’d trust it with my life. It pairs with any upper you want, I use it with a bca 5.56 upper and a cmmg 9x19 rdb upper.
Decker 380 if you want to move up to semi-auto centerfire while keeping things 100% DIY.
I’ve looked into that and it looks fantastic, but I know the Decker 9 is coming soon and I wasn’t sure if I should wait and do the 9 or go ahead and do the 380
That’s certainly a valid consideration. If you’re not in a hurry, the new Decker is worth waiting for. But “soon” is probably still a couple months away.
If you’re enjoying your 22s, you might consider one of the Ruger 10/22 based designs. Bolt, barrel liner, FCG, and a mag will put you right around $200 and you can print everything else. My Galileo R2 build turned out good enough for local Rimfire Challenge matches.
