Also why do I have the suspicion it’s gonna shoot really similar. I had expectations that it would feel like 7.62x39.

it should be 4 times the weight if you’re loading subs like the round was designed for so it shouldn’t feel the same at all

300 is a 7.62 round in a necked down 5.56 case…. So yeah, gonna feel similar. As was previously stated, it was designed to shoot out of the same rifle as 5.56 with just a barrel change.

It’s originally designed to run in the same rifle with just a barrel change so it has to be more similar than different. But shoot supers out of a <9" barrel and you will immediately know it’s not 5.56 by virtue of the fact those around you aren’t threatening to beat you with your rifle 🙂 Shoot subs suppressed and you’ll likewise know it’s not 5.56 by virtue of it actually being quiet.

That is actually the reason I chose to build this rifle, I shot my brother’s 10.5" 5.56 AR with a brake and it blew my eardrums out while I was wearing walker earpro. I’m a big fan of shorty barrels, so I figured this was the cartridge to run with.

I am friends with pla.boi and will be running his newest breek 30 cal ftn with this setup. I’m gonna load 220grs in the cartridges instead of these factory 125s.
