I’ve had the honor of being able to test the new Yippee Ki Yay before public release, and I’ve been given the green light to start sharing more info!

Kaewon has given the deluxe treatment to the MP5 this time. Full scale, visually accurate, and feature rich, this release will enable you to print all of the most popular designs and variants. With options for MP5/MP5K/SD, Tri-Lug/Threaded/Standard barrels, various stocks, braces, all in a mostly modular package, 99% printable, meaning you print everything and use a barrel liner, along with nuts bolts springs and an AR fire control group.

The Tri-lug works. The retractable brace works, the selector switch works (though the third position doesn’t have any functionality, just a nice click of the detent), everything works, just how you’d expect it to.

Feel free to post up any questions you have here. And yes, you can HK Slap it

You can pre-order kits and explore the options here.

The mp5k looks Soo nice although I think it needs a shorter magazine to match the smaller dimensions. Is there a bom yet?

Super excited for this one. Safe to assume you will be selling hardware kits (if applicable) when it drops?

Printed mags only? Or will the HK 22lr mags work? I’m assuming they will since this is an authentic build.

Unsure. I believe the outer shell shape should be authentic to a real one, but outside of the pins that hold it together being the same size, I don’t have any first hand knowledge that any parts will be compatible, interchangeable, or usable from a real one

Out of the box, I don’t think so…but it uses an AR FCG, so likely possible with some extra work
