    Sphynx Type M manifold issues

Working in Solid Edge, i was trying to modify the Type M frame and found that the top surface of the frame is... like completely borked, the edge around the feedramp does this weird spiral and clearly the software cant resolve that into a rational surface.

Not really sure if I'm asking for help here, I was mainly just trying to work on a slight upgrade to the Sphynx and this thing has been an inconvenience. While i like that modern slicers can repair issues like this, Ideally they shouldnt have to. I'm not sure what could have caused something like this

  • absolutely. one of the first things my doctor told me was that figuring out what medication would work is literally a random crapshoot and you just have to try stuff and see if it works.

    QBar Prototype files

A long ass time ago I made the Qbar, a Ubar2 lower that used Desert Tech Qmag-53 mags. I never finished it nor finished beta testing it. Because it's just a lower receiver, I feel comfortable releasing the untested files. I will come back to this project eventually, but I'm too busy at the moment. Feel free to mess around with it or even improve it, the original Inventor Part file is included, plus the STEP

If you are impulsive, indecisive, constantly forgetting things you need or want to do, unable to switch your current task, constantly starting new projects without finishing old ones, spending money wrecklessly even when you know you could use it for something more useful or to finish your mounting project pile: Look up ADHD symptoms and look into getting tested and possibly medicated for it. I'm not joking, if you have ADHD you have a known solvable mental deficiency that worsens your life overall and causes unneeded stress. This project would have been finished within a month of

  • I haven't gotten any threaded rods yet since I'm gonna be getting the aluminum trunion from Riptide, and they for whatever reason, don't list what the machined threads are in the trunion. Thus, I'm waiting until it arrives.

However, today I was able to go back and work on the thing, the KAK barrel measured out to be 22.84mm at that one section and the physical print I measured around 22.6mm.

I shoved the barrel into the hole the wrong way and then hammered it through with a nylon mallet until it sheared off a thin layer of plastic, it fits fine now lmao, problem solved!

  • I've been working on printing up a Nylaug, but my KAK barrel doesnt fit through the front hole, measuring the step file, it's 22.86mm. Unfortunately I didn't catch the dimensions of my barrel because I didn't have my good caliper with me, but from the minimum specs image, the largest diameter on the barrel is 0.960 inches, or 24.38mm. Has anyone else who built a Nylaug had to open up the receiver channel more after printing? is my KAK barrel just out of spec?

  • I can see from photos online that the gen 2 doesn't have the upper support pin on the locking block, you should be able to use the frame without it on 9mm. What doesn't work?
