  • Thanks! :) Yeah, I like the mini's a lot. I use them almost exclusively in my tactical Moss. There's a tough rubber wedge you can insert that makes using the shells hassle free. I got the main idea from that South African version with the mag in the grip. This design is so much easier to alter, & rim lock is easy to avoid by careful loading... I've had some picky .22 banana mags that would lock up if the rims wheren't in perfect order.

What's cool is that this is actually a very simple, proven design... 3D printing & all the metal from the hardware store. Modern Bill Holmes style. The only real drawback is that it's full auto, open bolt. That makes building one "a bit risky". I need to play around with it & see if I can find a close bolt semi for the action...

  • I just wish he'd get back in production, period. I bought several barrels from him in the past, but the past 2 years I get an 'out of stock' on just about every single thing I click on. I'd be happy to just see a flat 16" length in each caliber so you could cut & crown your own... Maby chamber both ends on pistol calibers so you could cut them in half as a 2 for 1.

  • Awesome, I'll be looking foward to it... :)

  • Any idea who to contact about about them? I'd like to give it a try before selling it & going for an easier small frame 45. I'm willing to pay a reasonable amount, or trade at a higher value... I have a literal ton of assorted gun parts, tactical gear, and 3D printer/laser cutter/milling machine parts. I'm 'retired', & recently moved in to a new apartment complex, & I've had to put all my big tools in storage, and sizing down to my '2020' builds. No more drillpress projects at 2AM. ;) I also specialize in mold making & casting. I can do pressure/vacume cast high strength resins, & 'cold-forged' carbon fiber or fiberglass parts. I just got a 5# box of carbon fiber chop that'll probably last me through my retirement. For gun parts, I consider 3D printing the start of the project. Mold making & then casting stronger parts is the conclusion... It is kind of a pain that to ship castings, they have to follow the 80% rule.

Need help with a Ruger frame...

I'm looking for a frame that will work with a Ruger P345 kit... As it's a single stack, so it's thinner than the other 'P' frames. I've only found one model of it online, but it's exterior only & $40... Doesn't help much unless I can wiggle some altered internals into the outer profile... I'd be happy if I could work it into the People's or Zoomer frames.

Thanks for any help, & for this awesome site... I've been trawling Odyssey for months since it seems Grabcad has been going gun shy.
