  • Developing countries, especially China, led the clean energy charge but richer nations including the US and EU relied more than before on planet-warming fossil fuels for electricity generation.

China remains way ahead in clean energy growth […]

India experienced slower electricity demand growth and also added significant new solar and wind capacity, meaning it too cut back on coal and gas.

In contrast, developed nations like the US, and also the EU, saw the opposite trend.

I’ve not read a single BBC rag article for a while now, are they usually this sloppy nowadays with how they portray the West in the best light LOL… Looks like they gave up trying mid-way. Very poetic.

  • Your logic is:

West = bad Russia is anti-west Russia = good

Peak interpretation of geopolitical issues that was famously proposed by davel. Except if they did propose this, which they didn’t, they’d be right (with some revisions here and there) anyway.

West bad because West do bad bad things to Global South.

Russia is “anti-west”, but only by circumstance of not allowing themselves to be sold to the highest bidder in Washington, despite Russia themselves having had requested to join their Kolonial Konquest Klub (read: NATO), which make Papa Sam and Santa Claus very angry!!

Russia is therefore good…for the Global South as they get a tiny yet much needed breathing room from being brutally exploited while cheerleaders for Western imperialism like you blabber on about some bullshit.

Does this bedtime-story-esque diction help you understand things better?
