Sls printed Ruger rxm build completed!
Man this was a cool project. I know it's not the typical fdm printed build, I thought that some of you still would find it interesting. Spent a little bit more than I intended but once I had the Icarus grip module I knew it needed some quality parts to build it out. Planning on a range trip tomorrow to put some rounds through this and my 20ga hossberg.
3d printed rxm fci.
As the title says, 3d printed on a metal 3d printer. After a failed attempt at an 80% rxm insert (holes were off on the jig I ordered 😢) I was determined to build with the parts I had already ordered. This came out great. Similar to plastic 3dp the holes were all slightly under sized but a little filing fixed that. I confirmed fit and function and now I'm polishing it up. It will be awesome when this tech is available for a reasonable price. Maybe one day 🤷🏻♂️. Funny enough I recently heard a story about a guy who had to be snuck into a friend's place of employment after hours to print something similar 👍🏻
wraith hand guard
Just finished printing the wraith handguard on my Qidi Q2 in Siraya Tech ppa-gf. It came out really well. I'm planning on using it for a 80% ar47 build I'm doing. Also plan on printing and building fleggs brace for this build.
I had a Centauri carbon and it was amazing for the price. I printed over 2500 hours on it using strictly pa6-cf, pps-cf, ppa-cf, and pet-gf. I also have a Creality K2 plus and a lot of the times it printed better than the $1500 printer. I sold it after I got a Qidi q2 just because I didn't really have the space for 3 printers. Now I will say, if you can pony up another $200 the Qidi q2 is a superior printer. This thing just kills it on every print. The heated chamber is amazing on it and heats very quickly. If $300 is your budget though you absolutely can't go wrong with the Centauri carbon.
