The blood of the women, children and elderly […] we are the ones who need this blood, so it awakens within us the revolutionary spirit. — Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas senior leader

queer armed militant anarchist. death to the United States, and death to Israel! the only good zionist is a dead nazi. all nations are bastards.

  • keeping the poors at each others throats is the universal feature of the rich and elite. it's how they stay in power. if the people ever united together, then we would be unstoppable and they know it.

  • for Bitwarden, a much better replacement is Vaultwarden. it's very easy to run yourself, or you can find other servers elsewhere run by people. best part about it is that since every client acts as a full backup, if a server shuts down then you can just transfer your data elsewhere with no issues.

I know someone who runs their own server, which is what I use.

  • it’s not naming a source.

The Flame emailed Daniel Berntsson and he admitted that the donation was from him. The Flame is a newspaper that's over a hundred years old, I think that makes them somewhat reputable. and if it's not true, then we'll see a statement from Mullvad and probably a lawsuit, don't you agree?

  • he's the private donor. The Flame asked him over email and he admitted it. since The Flame is a reputable newspaper that's over a hundred years old, I'll take their word for it.

if it's a lie and he didn't admit that, then I'll gladly admit I was wrong when he files a defamation suit against them.

  • the article probably did not present evidence because political donations are public record in Sweden.

  • Privacy @lemmy.dbzer0.com

Mullvad’s founder Daniel Berntsson donates millions to local fascist that supports forced "remigration" of Swedish non-white citizens

  • Wouldn't you know it, I just made $4,206,969 betting on Kalshi that Polymarket would be hacked!

  • a fake ID. you can get them easily enough.

  • well if your works so great then why don't you show me who's boss and lend it to OP since theirs doesn't 🤣

  • well since that "superior" piece of software isn't working, I guess I'll just keep my inferior software that actually does 🥱

  • cool thing is Jellyfin is free and you can switch right now

  • It's open source software with a full commit history, you can literally always go back and it's impossible to prevent you from having that ability. The whole point of Linux is it can be whatever you want, there's literally zero way that any government could realistically control Linux, nor any way to implement a practical system to enforce age verification when anybody can bypass it in their install at any time.

Nobody can convince me that in a world were governments can't even stop non-anonymous piracy that they're going to be in any way effective at controlling an operating system primarily used by technically savvy people, which is primarily distributed by P2P software most used for piracy.

  • Do they need to do any updates? The point of it was the message, it was never about making a serious OS. It was literally just "we're going to break California law because there isn't shit a single state in the US can do about it".

Also, I thought I read that open source projects were recently exempted, so the point is probably moot now anyway.

  • Why wait until it gets that bad versus at least duplicating elsewhere now?

so why aren't you volunteering your time and effort to help at least one project migrate, instead of just complaining they haven't?

  • fake money for criminals

are they talking about crypto or fiat? because it's impossible to tell.

  • nobody hacks nixpkgs because there's only two people on earth that hate themselves enough to use Nix. you can't kick a man while he's down, even hackers know this.

  • I used to use Arch, but I dropped it for CachyOS sometime last year. Cachy is just slightly faster for gaming for me, and since that's my biggest use, there was no really compelling reason why I should use it instead of Arch. Same experience, slightly better performance while gaming, and no additional work to set up. It's just win after win.

  • might have to add the US to that list soon

  • I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen. if I remember correctly, vaultwarden is helping bitwarden optimize their server since theirs is so much heavier than vaultwarden to run.
