  • There's the hitchhiker

  • So you did use settings slower than the speeds they claim on the ads? Which there's nothing wrong with doing that as a user if you're trying to go for maximum quality. Can you remember how much slower you made it? If your curious why Im hyper focusing on this it's mostly because getting better visual/structural (<probably) quality from higher print speeds is more what I'm interested in and the engineering materials capacity is the cherry on top.

  • Hell yeah. Thanks for answering so quickly.

  • I was reading the Guide .pdf to find out the thicknesses for the DXF files The bolt face is 1.5mm and the extractor is 2.5mm but i cant find any thickness for the bolt rim anywhere. can someone help me out and tell me how thick the Bolt Rim is supposed to be ? and where did you find the info??

  • Assuming you're using mostly defaults or recommended settings (you said it's your first printer so I'm gonna assume you're not straying too far from provided settings and finding your feet-which you certainly seem to be doing it fast) I'm impressed with what it's giving you especially if you're not slowing down the speeds for additional quality. One common problem my printers have is the tendency to ghost features in the finish unless I slow it down but I can't find any in yours. I see a few overhang rough spots but that's about it. The orca looks great. Based off those pictures I'd buy one if I had the extra money.

  • Mind showing some pla prints? I'm curious to see the quality it's capable of.

  • The only one I could ever find was on the pembleton store website. Works awesome but it does not look like it's gonna work with your can

  • wouldn't be surprised . I have a spool of the same brand and color I bought a month ago that I haven't opened however its already sucking in ambient air with a broken seal despite having only opened the box (not plastic bag) to check the color. they're not the only brand to I've noticed this occasionally happens to. It isn't much of a surprise considering the places they're coming from.

  • what build is this? I've always been hesitant to try a 1911 build due to all the different brands out there and not knowing what parts kit would work. I've always been under the impression not all parts are completely interchangeable regardless of brand like an AR is.

  • I've been on the fence about buying a centauri carbon. how are they? do you have any other printers you could compare it to? have you printed any pa6 yet? Id love to hear about your experience.

  • It was still fun even with it behaving like a single shot. I'll revisit the recession ruger once I'm able to get out to the range more. I'm only able to go shooting once every month or two now and cargo is limited so I only take the most promising or exciting projects with me.

  • The blue slide I couldn't tell you. It came from every gun parts as a partskit and idk how familiar you are with the site but they can be a step too far on the vague side of details in their listings. The black slide however is from Davison defense they have their own in house brand I guess you could call it. Idk if they actually machine the slides themselves or if it's some NIBs type company they contract but they're able to offer some really neat cuts. I think of them as being on the opposite spectrum end of km tactical like they focus on a few different cuts for all the popular models and lots of colors where as Davison defense is specializing in mainly g19 and g17 lots of slide cuts and maybe 4 colors none of them in cerakote and most of them are only in one color but they'll be really competitive in their pricing. I paid 200 b4 tax b and shipping for the slide, silver threaded barrel and the slide completion kit if I remember correctly.

  • I'm glad people are realizing that separating the hobby from reddit is the best thing that could happen for it short of repealing all 2a regulations or government subsidized ammo to encourage firearm competence .

  • Looks really good. I built an R2 and loved the way it looked but even after buying the proper metal rail kit it wouldn't recoil far enough back to cycle so I gave up on troubleshooting --that means two things! You will agree mines not quite as nice as yours

  • Hell yeah love the color scheme. Were you getting tired of the slanted back look of standard Glock mags? printed charging handle or metal? I've built a 2.0 in .300 black out but it got boring quick...If I can ever bring myself to buy a bca bufferless 9mm upper I wanna build a bufferless 1.0 or a 9mm famar

  • My biggest hang up has been finding a grip frame assembly that ain't almost as much as a new MkIV. Could someone point me to a decently priced option?

  • I completely overlooked what should've been an obvious solution to my concern.

  • Need to find some way to get past everyone's monitor displaying colors slightly differently. I wonder if Using a Pantone paint color card in a reshoot of the picture you took then people could get that same paint card and then find tune their monitor until the card matches the same color from the Pantone website.

  • Hell yeah! Thanks for the heads up I've got the 4800 and I can fit an mpr tech ump on pistol configuration in the bottom cushion layer and a macdaddy on top with mags for both. Or that ump with a folding stock and a muzzle device qualifying it for the 26 inch keeping it out of SBR territory and a suppressor... I'm gonna go buy one for my rifles assuming they're still on sale and in stock. !
