  • Thanks, I will have to make both then :)

  • Huge win then... The bottom one is sexy, but the top one is another level of sexy.

Doesn't the complexity of the MP22K involve elements that would increase reliability or durability in the long run though?

  • Awesome, that works for me.

Yeah being able to use search with an empty query isn't a very common way of doing things these days (but I think it's pretty good that it works this way, it's kind of a power-user tool).

    Some ideas:

    • adding buttons for "New" / "Popular" / "Recently updated" / "Recent updates + new releases" / ... that would redirect to the search page
    • adding a new "sort" option for this? because the default is if I leave "Relevance", and "Relevance + empty query == Recent updates + new releases" is not super intuitive
    • I think that adding the "new releases" to the recently updated might not hurt, but maybe some other people have use cases for that idk...

Thanks for the awesome work btw, you created the safe space we needed!

BTW: is there a place where you explain what kind of data you (don't) store? In case the feds one day get access to this website's data, it's better if they don't have things like IP addresses.

  • WDYM? There are different dimensions for different projects.

For the FGC9 using ECM it's:

    • 16mm Outer Diameter
    • 8-8.6mm Inner Diameter

There are 22lr barrels too, their dimensions are in the guides

  • Beautiful

Do you know how it compares to the MP22k?

  • I missed this release on the guncadindex, because i bookmarked the "updated" page (Search, sort by "Updated"), and thought it also included new releases.

Do you think it would make sense to add the new releases as well?

Like creation and update are different things from a technical and conceptual point of view, but you could also argue a new thing is also the first update...

Also from a practical point of view, it's nice to have a page with "everything new" to be able to catch up easily.

  • Oh no, what a coincidence...

But still I don't see what you could ever do with these...

  • Technically... both 🙂

(Beta is sailing, it's a public beta)

Quick tip: Find gun-related parts on AliExpress using "Recommended" section of another gun-related part.

My understanding is that Ali has removed lots of gun-related parts (FCG, springs, solvent traps,...)

Some sellers seem to still sell them, but may not use the same keywords or pictures to avoid detection. So they're harder to find.

The trick I use is to go on some gun related part page (ex: 'Hydraulic tube', the ones that are used to make DIY barrels), and then scroll down to the "recommended" section.

The way it works, is that is shows things people who bought the hydraulic tubes also bought. As these are often used to create FGC9s, you'll find that people who bought them often bought 'Interesting' things, ex: mag springs, FCG springs, reamers, rifling buttons,... The process can be iterative: you can click the rifling button and go to the recommended section to find more stuff.

Full FCG and Solvent traps are hard to find these days though.

Hope this helps, Ali has been a reliable provider for non-US people.

  • Few people have built the mp22k and those that have say it's a hard build.

Did you try to film the ejection in slow motion? I think you can get decent details with modern phones.

  • Handguns, as others have said aren't a good idea.

But some people like challenges so here's a list of things you can try:

    Easier first builds (PCCs mostly)

    • decker 380
    • urutau
    • fgc9
    • rogue 9
    • rebel 9
    • FGCz9
    • hd22c and plastic blaster's other builds
    • kaewon's builds
    • Cease and Desist

    Harder:

    • mp22k

    Edit: i forgot: HW4 Mega Pistol !!
