Soon. Very soon.
Soon. Very soon.
It's just about there. After a lot of time figuring out most of the intricacies of MediaWiki and implementing solid foundations, we're almost ready to open signups and take edits.
Be bold. Think about what you want to add, and when I say go, add it. Here's the deal:
- I want to drive refinement, taking knowledge dumps and molding them into proper encyclopedic knowledge.
- I want sources of truth, where we edit some authoritative guide instead of inventing 20 ways to do something and then play telephone telling people about them all.
- I want narrow scope, with offsite wiki links instead of regurgitating information.
And I want it to be open-source. CC-BY-SA, and I'll set up automatic regular backups you can download.
Mull over what you'd add. A vendor? A broad-stroke comparison between Nylons? The obvious need for a page on the FGC-9 MkII? Or maybe you'd just crack open the "Needs Work" category and run down the list, adding knowledge and fixing shit wherever you can.
Soon.
