Just curious if any one has made any other pistol length hand guards for the Galileo R2 that nestle neatly with the upper and blend in with the looks?

The ones that come in the distro aren’t doing it for me (the regular or unseenkilller versions). I really like the looks of the MPK version the best but it’s too long at 7.3”. I need about 6” to 6-1/4” length for use with an 8” barrel. Unfortunately I know nothing about editing things with CAD.

Hoping maybe someone may have made something different that would work with the rest of the GR2 build and look correct rather than like an after thought…?

Thanks in advance!

Here is the Remix 3 on an 8” BA barrel. I went with a different brace, which was the longest I could fit on an A1 Mini…and I had to trim the pic rail on the lower to get it to fit. But it provides an extra inch length over the better looking Sauerkraut (photo also included).

Interesting! That remix 3 isn’t too bad now that I’m seeing it on yours. I might give that one a try and see how it comes out. Thanks for the pics!

It was a surprisingly easy build. The biggest challenge for me is always arranging things on an A1 mini’s build plate. The optic cost more than the build, but I really like the PA GLx2 optics. Combined, it cost about the amount of a Ruger Charger for just the gun itself though.

The Wisp is quite a bit more complicated, as the guide is rather brief on how to actually assemble some parts. But I’m still printing parts for the stock and awaiting some more parts to fully assemble.

Time to learn cad :) it’ll take you 30 minutes to YouTube, chop, and export to print if it’s not crazy geometry.

Yea I know I need to start looking into it. I have the free personal version of fusion, loaded it up once to try and play around but holy crap it’s so overwhelming. No idea where to even start!

Going through a couple cad classes, most of the time I think people just need that “click” moment and then you’re off to the races. Once sketch -> solid clicks, you’re golden and can figure everything out from there with the right search terms. Just pick a simple project with a good beginner tutorial video to familiarize yourself, like a bracket. Then you’ll find surface modeling and all the other niches when you get some funky projects going.
