I had to do a lot bit of research on RF radio repeaters just to get an answer as to why there isn’t a analog radio repeater that repeats in real time and one of it was that it would effectively increase the transmitted power above the legal limit and there would be “packet bumping”. it explains the the meshtastic protocol has to be digital.

but im wondering why there isnt a setting that listens and retransmits on multiple frequency slots or one frequency slot and all modem setting. either of those setting would make using meshtastic easier to adopt.

if that’s true then id have to be more proactive about getting either of the 2 features I articulated and I’m already hesitant because the first steps are research and contacting the developers to articulated/agree on a standard

Because for it to exist someone has to purchase the equipment, set it up, pay the bill for the electricity it uses, and take the time to maintain it.

It would be great if we could simply wish something existed and it would exist. If you feel strongly about it, put in the work to make the world you want to see!
