Never heard of apm/pixhawk? I have a few d9fferent raspberry pi boards, I’ve done a few different projects with them but im definitely not a pro. Bought an arduino recently to use for temp/humidity sensors for my greenhouse, but havent got around to it yet. Id definitely say pi would be easier than arduino to pull off.

Pixhawk is a flight controller, people usually use it for DIY drones. We can configure it using Mission Planner software (free),there are some options …what you want it to be…multicopter drone, plane, or rover…and APM is the predecessor of pixhawk.
