aa much tech for green energy comes from chinese industry, chinese state centrally govern industry, knowing what levels of fossil fuel emissions occur in china seems like a good marker for the climate crisis politics there.

Peak Coal use in China was reached in 2024 (provided there isn’t some major electric emergency causing a massive need for coal use in the near future.) Gasoline and diesel fuel use is falling with peak oil expected some time in the next 3 years. We won’t know for sure for a few years but 2025 might be the peak of CO2 emissions if not some time in the next few years.
