They said it’s “threatening violence”, breaking Rule 1
- Nazis should be dead. Punching is the compromise - Nobody ever said you should stop punching

- Yep. I picked up 2 temp bans, a sub permanent ban, and then a total ban after 16 years once Reddit went public. All of that in two months. I haven’t changed but the world sure did. One of them was me showing the medical gear you should carry to attend the first No Kings rally. I was “inciting violence” and got banned from my cities /r - Better here anyways. I just needed a push. - One of them was me showing the medical gear you should carry to attend the first No Kings rally. - would you care to repost that? i wouldn’t mind taking a look
- I got bans for checks notes using an anonymizer and deleting an account, then on a new account being told I broke rules for using an anonymizer on a linked account and getting sitewide banned for it because I was “evading bans.” - Can’t wait to anonymize my new throwaway and then request deletion through the california privacy law enabling it. - They have a ton of tech to track you down. I just gave up the app all together. I don’t even click on the goggle search results for Reddit anymore. - I wish there was a browser addon which would create bogus ai slop comments and just save them as drafts. - Admittedly I wish this was built into RES and just happened randomly across reddit. The ai misinformation war needs to start to punish the companies selling user data imo.

- My very first suspension was agreeing that it is always okay to punch a Nazi. That’s how I first found out that there is some controversy about intolerance of Nazis.
- Unfortunately Reddit is run by group that prefers the nazis to be rampant on their website, despite what they say in their TOA and so on.
 - Violence against fascists is defense of humanity
- Reddit is a shithole
- You deserve it by grossly understating what Nazis deserve. /s
- deleted by creator
- I mean, my grandfather would probably have said they deserved worse.
- first time? - reddit finally decided to shadowban me
- I got banned from news@lemmy.world for calling out nazi sympathizers. Granted I did call them cunts, so YMMV. - At this point anyone who isnt banned by at least a few .world spaces is a nazi sympathizer.

- yeah, last few years has been like that. can’t say shit anymore.
- Reddit moment
- I mean, it is. A punch is a violent action. - And reddit has never ever been shy about enforcing sitewide rules inconsistently. I have no idea why people act all shocked and offended by this shit, it’s why there’s so damn many reddit clones and has been happening for over a fucking decade. - Beyond that, please for the love of all that is good, SHUT THE FUCK UP ONLINE. Go get involved with your local groups and stop incriminating yourself. - Go read up on proper goddamn opsec. Regularly shuffle your online identities and the identifying info connected to them. Learn where the tracking cameras are in your area and routes to avoid them. Ways to spot and shake tails. Ways to discretely shift your appearance so you don’t get picked up wearing the same fucking coat. The tactics that feds and pigs use against resistance movements, how to spot them. How to do first aid and care for allies. Learn your local allies so you recognize newcomers (and potential infiltration). - And stop doing this performative “I’m so tough/hard” shit online. Save the effort for real fucking action. Go do it, and do it in a way that you won’t be the first obvious fucking suspect. - As for me? This online identity is already burned, and my risk profile is not the same as yours, oh valiant nazi puncher. Let those fists swing, but make sure they don’t see it coming. - All good advice that I follow
