I can’t buy food as I have no income due to going through a disability benefit appeal. My appeal is estimated to be heard in January, and I’ve got nowhere else to turn, my social life dwindled and I was gradually abandoned by everyone after I got thyroid cancer and kept getting more and more ill. I had hoped that assistance from mutual aid would keep me going until January. If I then win my disability appeal I can manage for as long as my award lasts. I already maxxed out my overdraft and can’t get further credit as no bank would lend more money to me. Any amount is extremely helpful and appreciated, and if I could get enough to buy food until January I wouldn’t have to keep reposting. I’ve written many times before about how the local food bank takes ages to access, is often closed for periods of time and gives a meagre amount of food that just doesn’t last until it can be accessed again so i was starving all the time before finding mutual aid. However mutual aid donations have mostly dried up.

I also need help paying for petrol and parking charges for my many hospital appointments. My landlady drives me as I don’t drive (I’m partially sighted) but she is elderly and on a pension with debts of her own and due to my situation I haven’t been able to pay her rent for a while. So she needs me to find the money for the costs incurred while driving me. All other sources of transport, such as hospital-owned transport, have to be paid for, so that is not a viable alternative. If I could get another £150, my transport expenses until the end of the year would be covered.

Because of the whole benefits situation and the fact they’re going to check my bank account if I win my appeal, and I will have to explain any incoming money, gift cards are safer for me, but since I need help via paypal for the transport anyway if you would like to help with food and the gift cards are too difficult then please do, via paypal.

I know times are tough for everyone and lots of people need help, but please just help me make it to January.
