What do you think of setting up a GunCAD Wiki to store curated knowledge on any FOSSCAD related topic? GunCAD index made Odysee searchable, this forum makes discussion possible, the wiki could be the knowledge base. I know this puts more work on Shittinator’s shoulder, so ultimately it’s his call, but I can help writing articles.
For what it’s worth there is already a wiki on the Guncad Index, https://guncadindex.com/wiki/. It is currently focused more on being a wiki for GCI proper vs. a general guncad wiki, but perhaps it could someday evolve into a general wiki.
This is a great starting point since it is already there. @TheShittinator@forum.guncadindex.com what do you think about potentially using it for general GunCAD knowledge?
It’s… clunky, honestly. I’m not very happy with how the UX is when editing, the styling clashes with the site, it uses a ton of jquery that I really don’t want to strip out…
It might be time for us to host like a mediawiki instance or something.
I fully support upgrading the wiki tech on the Guncad Index. Can confirm that the editing experience is less than stellar.
