this is no bueno.. thanks for the correction.
i noticed the 'typos' as well, but figured i was searching incorrectly.
but im familiar enough with glock parts that i was able to read through the BOM typos.
but i love my chortex complete with a 10" charger barrel.
everyone asks about it at the range..
in fact most people ask bout my PDWs, MAC11(PWC9), chortex, etc.
i bring out about 2-3 new builds each week.
yeah.. stripped slide(barrel included), just minus the guide rode assembly, is able to fully 'slide' back.
so looks like guide rod is getting caught up somewhere.. ill sort it out.
yeah.. ive even tried a non-modified slide from another build.
same issue..
so something is getting caught up.. looks like the guide rod asembly..
or maybe the locking block...
ill figure it out by process of elimination.
i do wonder how popular this build will be.. the firing pin modification instructions are a bit confusing.
not as clear..
i should probably start an odysee page noting some of my observations and 'discoveries' with the builds i complete.
yeah... already have multiple glock 22lr conversion builds.
once the 3dp2011 remix is complete, ill try my hand at putting a 22l slide on that build.
already started piecing together a 3dp sr22.
its only just one printed piece of the FCU insert.
pretty simple, but a ton of tiny parts.
will put it together over the next 7 days.
jigsaw puzzle..
im organzied but not crazy with it.
i am very clean though.. dont like shit all over.
i only have parts and tools out for one build/project at a time.
once a build is done, i clean the work area and then when ready start another project.
i keep all projects parts/pieces in their own container.
7 x 3inch splatter targets spread across one large paper target.
each 3inch splatter target gets 5rds each.
so 35rds from each caliber. rounds never hit paper.. only their intended splatter target
i replace each sticker once im done with each 35rds from each caliber.
light work..
nothing superior over here... all my bolts/screws/tools, etc look like what you just posted.
same clear bins too..
all my kids are out of the house.. so its just me in a 4k+ sq ft house.. so yeah.. i think i have a spare room or two to convert to a build/hobby room.. :-)
thanks.. reprinting my chasis now... looks like i may have created a larger grip bolt hole ...
end of day i may scratch this approach and just go with the galileo... which uses a bolt/nut combination to attach the grip.
i like this approach better than using heat inserts.
same bolt/nut approach used by the recession ruger frames..
should you ever design a chasis, please use a bolt/nut for grip attachment.. :-)
fully documented.
no guessing.
no filling in the blanks.
all these other chasis are just files are all just playing the fucking guessing game in terms of BOM.
trolls on lemmy ?
seems like most would be religated to reddit, since its easier to 'sign up' there.
seems like the more serious community members take the time to post here or rocket.
the more serious one is, the less 'sensitive' and thus less 'downvotes' over perceived slights.
is there a metal/steel barrel one can buy instead of using a proto/printed barrel ?
maybe a 10/22 or ar22 barrel ?
i have all the other BOM parts.. i just would rather buy a barrel than printing/DIYing one.
I dont understand the motive behind posting these files and not documenting them properly.
At least provide some 'clues'... Not just post and leave people to 'wonder'
Anyway.. I just finished printing this guy instead and the build is complete.
