    Homemade .22lr Barrel Liner

    Hello everyone,

I'm new to this world and I'm thinking of manufacturing a Harlet. My intention is only to make the gun. I don't have real bullets so I doubt I'll ever use it. I have several snap-cap type rounds to test sizing. I'm outside the US, so it's almost impossible for me to obtain a .22lr barrel liner, and that's why I have to build it almost from scratch. Before printing any part of the gun, I want to see if I'm able to build a functional barrel liner. My idea is to make a barrel liner from a steel tube purchased on AliExpress that closely matches the requirements of the original barrel liner.

I bought two types of tube:

    • OD 10 mm x 5 mm ID 4140 steel tube (wider)
    • OD 8 mm x 5 mm ID hydraulic steel tube (more similar)

I also got two reamers of 5.8 mm and 5.6 mm to make the chamber and the bore. I don't intend to rifling it. Maybe I will on other models in the future.

My idea is to do something like this:
