Don’t hold your breath. People are already trying again create new subs. Its just getting worse and people are too intimidated by lemmy. That, or they just refuse to stop using reddit.
You’d think “not getting booted off the platform” and “we have a full backup of the old subreddit” would’ve been good enough reasons to tough it through a mildly-inconvenient setup process.
I’m not intimidated, just can’t figure out how to get guncad on it…as well as the weird sign in that pulls up unrelated communities or whatever. If someone could do a walkthrough video on how to setup a lemmy app to connect…it would probably be helpful. I just use the website instead, as forums are a welcomed old friend for me.

It’s literally what Reddit should have been to avoid enshittification in the first place. It’s better in so many ways.

i didn’t use desktop to sign up. also i signed up 3 times so far, because i picked instances that died later lol
