I have an ams 2 pro but I’m looking for something else to dry cf filament. What are some good options under 100$?
I think you should consider spending just a bit more and getting the sunlu s4. With a printed extension I can use the 3kg spools
Using 3kg spools has saved me a ton of money
Sunil s4 vs creality x4 space?
I use the small septree dehydrator and you can find it often for 70 bucks on Amazon. It doesn’t have Celsius so I just set it to 190F and it works perfectly. I run everything from pa6 to pps through it. I run pa6 for 48 hours so that I know for a fact it’s dry and I run pps for 72 to 96 hours. You won’t regret it. I also use it paired with a PID when ever I anneal.
Every food dehydrator I’ve seen let’s you switch but sometimes just doesn’t say in the manual. If it’s this one that most people post you can switch it by holding the light button. https://www.amazon.com/Septree-Dehydrator-Stainless-Temperature-Protection/dp/B09MCHTXHW
Damn it man lmfao!!! It worked!! I’ve been running it in Fahrenheit for almost 2 years thinking it didn’t have Celsius lol. You tha man!!
Sunlu S2 is what I use… tips: whatever filament brand you get throw it in the kitchen oven on the max temp the spool can handle overnight for at least 8hrs (you can’t over dry it) then throw it in your Sunlu s2 at the max temp 70c while printing and you should be good to go! I’ve had great results doing this! It sucks because Bambu wants you to pay $100plus for their HT dryer when the AMS 2 pro should do pro like things and dry while printing 🤦🏾♂️ but whatever lol!
I have a SUNLU S2 and a Bambu HT. The HT turned out to be kinda stupid but Im stuck with it. Is sucks at initial drying out of the package, but after running PA6CF20 through the SUNLU for 24 hours at 110C, I don’t mind drying and printing from it.
I literally bought the ams pro thinking it would surely dry them 😭 I also already have the s2 as well and I’m trying to get something to hit like 80c
PID controller plus a air fryer is what I use.
